The days of limitations are gone. Nowadays, we can do almost anything with a finger tip; we can make video calls, we can watch movies, we can pay bills, we can order food, we can book movie tickets, we can call a taxi, we can buy commodities, we can transfer money....the list is endless. Yes, a smartphone is no more a luxury, it's a necessity now.

In this blog post I am sharing my journey towards smartphone era, my first smartphone experience and my smart thoughts for future.

#Flashback No:1 [Six years back]
I threw my college back to the sofa. Before picking the TV remote, I put my hands in the right pocket of my pants, then checked the left pocket, then the back pocket too and finally, I shockingly realised that my phone had gone missing. I dialled to the mobile phone number using the land phone and the response was from a computer generated voice- The number you are calling is not reachable, please try later.

My companion had gone missing. I felt heart broken.
"Dude, it's just a phone" my brother tried to console me.
"Don't you know?! It has got the GPRS!!" I yelled at him and shortly I burst into tears.

#Flashback No:2 [10 months back]

My excitement touched the peak when the Flipkart guy handed over me that box. There were many reasons behind my excitement; it was the first time I am buying anything from my own hard earned money after getting a job and that was the moment I am owning my first ever official smartphone, Motorola Moto E.

Why did I choose Moto E as my first smartphone?
As I was a trainee engineer my salary confined in just four digits. Owning a smartphone was my dream but my budget turned villain. I understood getting a smartphone with standard specifications needed much money. I searched for phones available in my budget range but I found low cost phones were comprising major features of a smartphone.

I thought, owning a smartphone within my budget is just a dream until Motorola launched Moto E in India. When I saw its promo video my eyes almost came out. It was a beginning of revolution in Indian smartphone market. The made for lastpriced for all tagline attracted my attention.

Look at the features of Moto E:
* 4.3" size
* qHD display with 960 x 540 pixels
* 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor
* 1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM
* Corning Gorilla Glass 3
* 5 MP primary camera
* Android KitKat v4. 4 [upgradable to Lollipop]
* 1980 mAh battery

And all these features were available at Rs 6,999!! (Now the price is lesser). Then how could I stop myself from buying this revolutionary smartphone?! I bought Moto E without any second thoughts. Without compromising quality, Motorola taught me what value for money really means.

Flashbacks are over, let's come back to the present days.

#Today [camera rolling]

Motorola have launched Moto E second generation. I am quite sure that Motorola is hearing its consumers, that's why they launched the brand new Moto E by clearing all the cons the old Moto E had.

After using the first Moto E for 10 months I am aware about its pros and cons, even though cons are very few. I wished few upgrades in the camera department and I think Motorola heard my murmurs. A front camera and autofocus are introduced in new Moto E. Motorola not only brought camera improvements, but also upgraded other departments.

See how Motorola upgraded Moto E from its old one:
4.3 inches size  ------>  4.5 inch size
No front camera  ------>  0.3 MP front camera
5 MP rear camera  ------>  5 MP rear camera with autofocus
Dual core processor  ------>  Quad core processor
4 GB internal memory  ------>  8 GB internal memory
Android KitKat OS  ------>  Android Lollipop OS
Adreno 302 graphics  ------>  Adreno 306 graphics
1980 mAh battery  ------>  2390 mAh battery

Motorola upgraded almost everything except the price. Yes, new Moto E is available at the price of Rs 6,999/-. By launching Moto E 2nd gen on this price Motorola again put a new benchmark in value for money department.

I already have the first Moto E but what I would #ChooseToStart with the new Moto E?

Video calls:
I would make plenty of video calls with the front camera. My brother is working in the UAE and with new Moto E, I can make unlimited video chats with him. He also can see me, dad and mom, so that he would never miss us and vice versa.

More gaming:
The new Moto E would empower me to play games with good graphics without any lags or chokes because it has got a powerful quad core processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM. More gaming would give more pleasure to me.

More apps:
Apps make my life easier and with new Moto E I can install a lot of apps. The 8 GB internal memory and expandable memory up to 32 GB ensure enough storage space for apps. Facebook, WhatsApp, Skype, imo, Wechat, Hike, Twitter, Instagram... list of my apps would be endless.

Fresh Android experience:
The new Moto E comes with Android Lollipop out of box. This would enable me to enjoy new and fresh Android features. Note that, new Moto E is the first smartphone to have Android Lollipop in this segment.

Easy life with Motorola features:
I would just twist my wrist to access the rear camera and twist again to access front camera. With special Motorola apps like Alert, Assist and Migrate my life would be more comfortable and secure.

More customisation:
I would love to customise the back cover and the band of new Moto E. I would make my phone more colourful with beautiful back covers and bands for every occasion. The freedom of customisation would make me happier than ever.
